David and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the all the wonderful food that you so creatively prepared for us. The green garlic soup with Meyer lemon oil, the Colorado Lamb cooked over syrah barrel wood, and your desserts – all were amazing! The menu paired so well with our wines, and the presentation of everything was done with perfect detail. In addition to the food you prepared, the group truly enjoyed your company and conversation, and appreciated your patience with us “invading” the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your talent with us; it was the highlight of the weekend!

I want to thank you again for providing a wonderful dinner at Domaine Beau Soleil for us, and for helping to make our recent family vacation to Napa Valley a very special one. You were really excellent with the kids -- I feel as if you almost became a member of the family for the evening, but with highly professional culinary results. The praise was unanimous: we all wished we could have had "Chef John" return for an encore on another day, but unfortunately the time we had on our vacation was too short to do everything we wanted.


On behalf of our entire group, we would like to thank you for the remarkable week of culinary delights you shared with us on our 10th Anniversary Celebration in Napa Valley. Creating five menus gave us a lot of choices in the use of local ingredients and each night we experienced such wonderful & completely different appetizers, main courses, side dishes and deserts. You were just amazing in your ability to juggle food preparation while interacting with a big group of partying people. We really put you to the test by snitching food, not following directions, and constantly being underfoot. It was very nice of you to let us share in the processes of prep to table. In fact we enjoyed everything so much that we decided we need to fly you to our next destination. It should also be noted that you were not just our chef, but you were an invaluable source of local information from wine makers, wineries and where to eat. Our vacation was completely enhanced by our time with you.
